What you’ll do
Working as part of a two-person cleaning team, you will help care for clients’ homes throughout Barrie and surrounding communities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas to Lumo’s standards.
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and carefully cleaning household surfaces.
- Following each home’s cleaning checklist and client instructions.
- Using products and equipment correctly, including colour-coded cloths to help prevent cross-contamination.
- Respecting clients’ belongings, privacy, pets, and home security.
- Checking your work before leaving and promptly reporting concerns, damage, or supply needs.
- Adding thoughtful finishing touches that make a home feel welcoming.

We provide training in our cleaning methods, products, safety practices, and customer service expectations, along with the supplies and equipment needed for the role. You will work within a team structure with clear communication and a contact person when you need help.
As Lumo grows, we expect opportunities for strong team members to take on additional training and leadership responsibilities.
What the role requires
This is active, hands-on work involving standing, walking, bending, reaching, and carrying cleaning supplies. Applicants should be able to perform the essential duties with reasonable accommodation where needed.
You must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to reliably meet the agreed schedule and travel arrangements.
